History
from 1974
Having graduated at the Maritime Academy of Trieste and after having served in the Italian Navy, he reached the title of Sea Captain.
He becomes Officer of Lloyd Triestino di Navigazione on general cargo, passenger container and ro-ro vessels on the routes of Far East and Africa.
from 1985
Starts to be entrusted of various commercial and operative jobs in the Head Office organization of the Company.
1992
He becomes Far East Line Manager.
1997
Is appointed General Manager of Africa Regional Coordinating (based at Abidjan- Ivory Coast) with jurisdiction on all Companies activities in West East and South Africa.
1998
Comes back to the Head Office, based in Trieste, with the title of Operations Manager of the Company and then becomes in charge of the Africa Line service.
2000
The Company assigns to Capt. Stinco the task of opening and start-up of its General Agency in North America, Lloyd Triestino America Corporation, and appoints him as Executive Vice President and becomes member of the Board of Directors.
2003
After more than 30 years of service, he leaves Lloyd Triestino to start a consulting activity focused on the role and developments of port of Trieste.
This is the beginning of his partnership with the Trieste based feeder company, Adria Maritime Spa, where he follows the general management and commercial developments.
Thereafter he cooperates on a similar task with T.O.Delta S.p.A. following the feeder activity and specifically the Adriatic connections and transshipments based via the port of Trieste as well as the rail connections for the container traffic of Trieste hinterland.
2012
Capt. Diego Stinco founds Adriatica Servizi Marittimi with the mission of giving consulting and planning assistance for maritime, inland and intermodal transportation.
